Pressure washers

Do this lil feckers work? Theyre quite pricey so i thought id ask before forking out £100+. Any particular ones recommended?

DOGS BLKS MATE, I TEND TO USE WORKS ONE ITS SPOT ON FOR GETTING ALL THE SALT GRIME AND CRAP OFF ESPECIALLY FROM UNDER THE WHEEL ARCHES AND ALONG THE SILLS, A NORMAL HOSE JUST DOESNT GET ALL THE DIRT OUT

Cool, whats yours made by, get it from halfords by ne chance? Do you need anything special for the tap?

Cheers

-Rob

the one at work is like an industrial size thing made by kacher (spelling??) i think halfords sell the smaller equivalent, as for connections i really dont know mate cuz its all set up at work, cant imagine its too complicated

they are normally standard hose pipe connections. All you sould need is a hose pipe! and maybe an electric cable extension. As mine doesnt reach from the house to the car.

We got one.. it rocks. Connect hose to it, connect power, spray.

I usually use it cus it gets rid of the main crap, then wash, and then powerwash it again. Wonderful!

be careful with it though, some of em with the right attachment on are pretty powerful and im certain they could dent a panel of your car if your too close

my grandad has a Karcher and one of his attachments could definitely do it

i got a little karcher - the one on wheels - bleedin brill for blastin off this salty sh1te that covers your car. Got mine from B&Q for around 110ish.

cant work out how to use the detergent bit though, used a whole 500mls in one wash lol - u never seen so much foam!!

the high pressure hoses u get are crap - 30 quid a length to buy! The machine comes with standard hoselock garden hose fitting.

ps - if u ever freeze it up (like I did) 20mins with a hairdrier does the trick!!

Lads a lot of those small power washers are unreliable and often break down. Buy a recgonised name like karcher not some silly makes.

sorry but the karcher ones are quite unreliable too ive heard. i was given a power devil one which is reliable but the hose isnt very long so i have to carry it everywhere. i think they retail at about 40-60 quid from argos, comes with hozelok attachments also. plenty of pressure.

id give it 6.5 out of ten, thats my 0-60 too!

i just brought a champion pressure washer from focus(do it all) £39, it aint to bad.

Well neither of them can be as bad as my normal hose, the end decided to break away at quite high speed smashing the glass in my left mirror.

Ill start saving my pennies..

have any of you jetted your engine bay? i did it on my old micra, but as this car has more electrics im not sure if i might fry the electrics doing so!

oh, and brun - youre right, they can dent your panels...me and a mate tried it out on a knackered motor, they need to be used with care!!!!
