Price for Full Service and Cambelt.

My car needs its 48K service and is 5 years old in 3 months so doing the 2 together, been quoted from Renault Specialised Services in Nuneaton £935 all in - £540 for Cambelt which doesnt seem too bad but the rest of the service is £400

This includes,

Cambelt
Auxbelts tensioners etc.
Plugs
Oil Change
Gearbox Oil Change
Filters
Fluids

Does this seem OTT on price nad does all this need to be done e.g - gearbox oil?

Sounds reasonable really, the gearbox oil isn't on the service schedule but i'd 100% recommend it doing is well worth it.

Cambelt kit parts wise is £200odd last I remember so I wouldn't say £540 is too had considering the labour involved.

gearbox oil is a good start, makes it feel really good But 400 quid for fluids and filters is way over the top. Get them to do just the cambelt and stamp the book, then do the filters and fluids urself.

Fine for a Renault price but you'll get it a lot cheaper by going to a specialist mate.

give Rentech a ring iwas quoted £500 for cam belt aux belt and the rest of the 36k service!

What's the latest on your timing issues Se7en, are you taking it to a specialist?

i paid £730 for a full 72k service including plugs and leads, and cambelt and aux belt change with bearings etc from birchdown

Took mine down to Rentech for 5 year service. Was About £720.00 including a front pad change. It's not that far to go from us either, and you can have a day wandering around Portsmouth...

Mate, take it to BIRCHDOWN. It's a bit of a drive for you (about 1 1/2 hrs) but they (Kev & Kev) will lend you a van to go and chill somewhere while they sort the car out for you.

You won't find anyone doing a better job - or for a better price.
