prices for colourcoding

Ive just been down to a local garage to get some quotes for colour coding the black plastic bits on my car. Im not too sure if these are any good tho. Wot prices have people been paying for this job.

He told me that to redo my spoiler is £120, this is becuase i tried doing it myself and the laquer reacted and went wrong, its a right mess, but he said he will sand it down and start again for £120, i got quoted £200 from another garage.

Also he said to do the back bumper, front bumper, door mouldings and mirror covers will cost £240. Is this a good price?

if hes gonna do a damn good job then yes, thats not a bad price. your mainly paying for the labour to take the moulding of the car to be spryed. if you can take them off yourself i would do so and then put them back on your self. this should reduce the price by a bit. paint and meterials arent that expensive, its the labour charge to faff around thats the killer.

I work at a car dealership and know thats how the bodyshops get their waller. for hassle free spraying though its not a majorly bad price, sure you could get it a bit cheaper though even if you didnt want to take the bits off yourself.

Ive been quoted £350, which im going ahead with on monday, for front/back bumpstrips, side bumpstrips, door handles, spoiler all colour coded, and to fit and colour my utopia spoiler (and to wire it up for indicators). And comes with 12 month guarentee.

Thats a damn good price dingdong!!! i hope they quote me a hundred notes for my spraying my spoiler & fitting it & wiring up at a different date.... coz i cant afford to get it at the same time im getting all the other colour coding done...
