Pricing up timing belt etc!

  Clio Sport 182
Hi, I'm looking into getting myself a little 172 as a run around and possible track car.
Ideally want a low mileage one in fairly reasonable condition.
Does anyone have any recent knowledge of timing belt kit prices?
Water pump prices?
Dephaser pulley price?
I'd like to do the lot when I first get the car so it shouldn't need touching again.
I already have the locking tools as I have rebuilt a 182 engine in the past.
Any help appreciated,
thanks.

That's brilliant info, thanks very much!
Are there after market dephasers?
Or just a different price from Renault and elsewhere?
Cheers

For the aux belt, many including Mick have warned to only go Renault unless you wish to spend alot longer fitting the belt.

What are you looking to spend? I'm umming and ahhing over mine. If I had any sense I'd keep the car!

Why is the Renault belt easier to fit then?
Cost isn't an issue, but just wanted to price it up at the moment.
Cheers

IIRC the Renault one tends to be the cheapest anyway.

From what I recall the aftermarket belt kits tend to have a belt that is a little too small for the application, which makes the belt a pain to fit. It may be a little thicker as well. It is something I have seen on an old Mondeo V6 as well. The Ford belt fitted fine , the gates one was slack and that was on a non tensioned pulley system.

I am now potentially buying a 197!
I am unsure of the last timing belt change so I would have to do one!
My question is, does the 197 essentially have the same engine as a 172/182? In terms of locking tools etc for the cambelt?
Is it the same cambelt kit and dephaser etc? Many thanks!

The engine is the same code (f4r) but they're different at the same time! Lol!
The belt and the dephaser are different on the
197 engine compared to the 172/182. Locking tools are the same.
