Print Screen button not working?

Hi guys, know theres a few of you good with laptops and what not on here, i am not however..!

Anyway, trying to master saving the screen shot picture and its not doing anything, tried a combination of buttons like ALT+PRNT SCRN but im getting nothing, also tried it with CTRL, Fn still getting nothing?

Its a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop incase that helps..? Pissing me off

mine works just by pressing prnt scrn on a dell 1737

I do hope there is something wrong with the button and you just aren't using the function incorrectly.

Press "Prnt Scrn" button (on its own)

Open up paint, photoshop, whatever...

Hold CTRL + press "V"

Then save this as you would any other image.

This was the bit i was not doing i didnt realise nothing actually appeared on the screento say it had copied it...
