Problem after fitting induction kit

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
I know this is a clio forum, and i don't drive one, but the ignis forum i use don't have many members and take a while to respond, so im hoping u guys can help, because it seems like a generic problem! Anyway..

Fitted the K&N induction kit, leaving the front half of the original airbox and the air duct on.

Started the engine, and there was an abnormal noise coming from the induction kit, almost like a suction sound... thought this was a bit strange, but i thought it might have been different on different cars so i assumed it was fine.

The engine light came on, and has stayed on ever since! I drove for a bit, and the car kept stalling when i was stationary, only sometimes, and the other times when it didn't stall the car was shaking, the idling was really bad, like shuddering!

When i returned home, i put everything back as it was before (standard) the car doesn't stall or idle weirdly, but the engine light has remained on!

What has gone wrong? and anything i can do to make it back to 'normal healthy self'?

Any help would be great! Thanks!!!!

  Whichever has fuel
Theres a vaccum pipe come off somewhere when the induction kit is fitted. Or one needs to be blocked.

The light will remain on until the fault code is cleared.

If it's the engine management light it may go off after a while of it being back to normal, at least the Clios do.

Yeah i'm hoping it'll disappear on its own, like how Clio's fix themselves!

Found the problem.. because i bought the air filter 2nd hand, the guy seemed to have misplaced the temperature sensor adapter, so the air filter had a hole where the adapter shld have gone. So i took the adapter from the original bend and stuck it into the air filter... works a treat now! Will upload a vid later =)
