Problem on way home

Was on my way home from work tonight on the motorway in 5th accelerating and all of a sudden lost power, exhaust sounded a lot louder and eml light started flashing, so I slowed down and dropped to forth and the problem went away and didn't come back

Fuel injector maybe, get a code reader on it to see what's been logged on the ecu.

i plan to mate but will there still be a fault code logged of the problem has gone and no EML on
