Problem starting today.

Went to start my 172 this morning, engine would turn over say 3-4 times then stop. Tried for about 5 mins but the same thing would happen (thought it may be the battery but the dash lights didn't dim out when trying to start)

Got my local mechanic to come and have a look early today, the same thing happened again. Then tried to start again and nothing happened at all (dash lights on but not turning over), left it for a few mins and it started first time.

Took it for a drive and it seems to running fine, mechanic didn't have a clue what it could be, anyone got any ideas?

Check the map sensor also

i'd ring and ask if it is mate, not sure with warrenties but could well be, if they say no kick up a fuss and i bet they do it!
