Problem = Unmountable Boot Volume

Sister turned the power off from the main comp and tried to restart but is now only getting this message with a blue screen.

Anyone any idea's?

shouldnt do
7 times outta 10 it repairs ok

if it dont repair format is needed

lesson learned for improper shut down

corrupted boot sector

run boot cd in recovery console and run chkdsk /r

Dunno if you get this far but, if the boot sector is corrupt, start the comp in safe mode with command prompt,

Type, fixboot c: (c= your volume name)

and... fixmbr c: (master boot record if your curious)

Can't get into safe mode, just constantly comes up with the blue screen.

I take it that it's a common fault caused by improper shut down?

chkdsk/r is Check Disc Repair iirc but run chkdsk n itll show up any errors that are there....
