Problem with Brakes

  Renaultsport Clio 182
Just got back from MOT test center, all fine passed and as i left the bloke spoke to me.

Bloke: How you find your brakes?
Me: Fine i think the Ds2500 are good for the road
Bloke: oh ok i found them not so good, but they passed the test no problems

On the way home i tried to press the brake pedal and it wont budge!!! feels solid! the car does stop but i have to really stand hard on the pedal

Thery were fine when i left the car this morning.

Now i managed to get home driving very carefully, awaiting a call back from MOT place.

I have checked the sensor behind the pedal and the fuses, all seem ok

Any ideas guys?

Thanks

Chris

easy way to find if the vac pipe is off/split pump the brake pedal a few times with the engine off then hold the pedal down and start it up if the pedal drops down a bit its all ok.

usually you can hear a sucking noise if the pipe is off louder than usual on ticke over and about 1500 rpm and wont drop to idle

I found the vac pipe and its not good

the pipe has been sucked inwards by the vacuum and closed itself up!

Looks like a new pipe hopefully will fix it
