Problem :(

Got in my car this morning drove bout 200 yards up the road and the "Exhaust Gas Monitor Warning Light" came on.

My car is compleltly standard... What could be the reason for this to all of a sudden just come on.

Its going into renault on sat to be look at under warranty?
What could it possibly be and will i been covered under my warrenty if i need new part... for example could i need a new exhaust?

Is it also safe to drive?

Could be a number of things mate which have all been covered before

On my car it was the knock sensor at fault

Do a search and you should find some help

They are normally safe to drive and the light will probably go off anyway
