:: Problemoo :: Spigot Rings

  02 Clio Extreme
Basically I bought some Rota Cup Alloys.. and the spigot rings that were supplied did not fit. So I rang the company up, they contacted Rota and ensured me that they will send out some more that do fit correctly, but they didnt fit either.

Getting a bit fed up of constantly ringing up complaining about this problem. Can somebody help me out???

How do you fit them? What size do I need?
60.1 bore is the (OD) Outer Diameter of the spigot, that I need.

Ring them again and say how peed off you are getting..tell them what bore size you need too.
You can fit the wheel without them..might get a slight vibration when going over 60mph though..but it wont do no harm for a short while.

60.1 is the renault hub size i think.

you just push the ring into the centre inside of the wheel before you put it on the car and if its the right size it should fit snug.

push it in...if theres any corrosion just sand down the edge of the lip ever so slighty by hand and push it in.

Ahhh..had the same prob...put the spigot on the hub part..then as you tighten the nuts up it will pull itself on..do opposite sides :)

try halfords, i got my spigots throught them.

measure the outer size of the spigot needed (centre bore of the wheel) and you already know the inner dimension of the spigot needed (60.1) and they will order them from you

As you tighten up the four bolts do it each opposite bolt at a time to pull it up straight, it's good general practice.

EDIT: as said above!! :)

Dont do the bolts up that are next to each other..do diagonal ones.
Also just do a few turns at a time on each one..so it keeps it straight. :)

Mine were a b*****d that were in the superturismos after i'd had them powdercoated, a hammer and bit of wood soon sorted that.
