procedure when buying cat c car?

If you buy a cat c car, once its been repaired does it have to go to a dvla place to be checked over or what?

If you buy it damaged it will need a VIC check before a log book is issued then an MOT depending on age

If its already fixed then the current owner will of needed to put it through a VIC check to get ownership and log book so that he/she can sell it on

do you know how much they are?its only a bonnet and door locks it requires but its a clio 16v so isnt worth a lot anyway
