program for making charts urgent!

  Focus ST-2
Uni project requires my to do a chart, but excel will not do it properly.

is there a program you can draw a chart to look as good as excel ones?

or if someone can show me how to do it, basically its a shear force diagram for a shaft, it is upward and downward acting forces overall a length. example. 5kn up along for 5m then down for 20kn along for 3.75m up by 30 kn along 2.5m then down 20kn along for 1.25 and back to 0. hope that makes sence

Sounds like you need a specialist program..

Like.. http://www.esads.com/ maybe?

Can make diagrams like this:

BTW, I've never EVER had to draw a Sheer Force Diagram before.. I didn't even know what one looked like until I saw this app.. so it might not be what you need :p

bending force diagrams, shear force diagrams, scale models for calculating load and direction in 2,3, 4 and more force memebers I always used CAD softaware to draw em at uni personally.

Good luck.

i use microstation at work and i would have to draw the chart, you should be able to do the calculation and using the results be able to produce a graph which i beleive this software above would be able to, i normally use solidworks but i am not allowed to use 3d software do not ask way lol
