Will you be running the stock gearbox still? Uprated clutch?
 
Just read the last couple of pages Paul, very very nice, I am back in Manc at the moment, but need to clear my house in Leeds around June time so will be popping in to see you and the car!

Only just seen this thread. OMG. Car looks sweet!!! Just read everything but didn't notice what charger you're using? You're getting 400bhp from charger and major head work yes? Whats the bhp per tonne looking like?

500 miles or so. Then it will go through it's paces. New injectors are ready to go in too, the megane rs ones won't be good enough for the power this will produce!

Well we've finally had time to get this running again but for some reason she's not making boost, we think it's slipping the belt as i have a slightly different setup compared to before. It's running 282hp at the moment with only 0.7 bar so not too shy just not quite 300+

Dropped the compression compared to the last engine but IMO it's too low and has had a negetive effect on the power (same boost before made 328). It's roughly mapped to run in so we'll see what we can do when it's mapped finally.

Lets see of we can get some more boost :)

What sort of compression ratio is it running now paul, somewhere about 9:1? Are the new rods/pistons off the shelf parts or custom again? What aux/charger belt setup are you running now then, still based on the ph1 alternator with tensioner setup or something more like a cup setup? Look forward to seeing some numbers!

It's supposed to 9:1 but the gasket used has probably taken it closer to 8.5:1 and for the lack of low down boost is too low IMO. It's running similar to the kit we do on stock tensioner but the belt run is slightly different on mine, i need a shorter belt and new bottom idler because it was damaged when it was recovered back to us with no engine mount!!!!! (not pleased with that!)

The setup on the charger SHOULD double the hp pretty much so we just need to find the problem.
 
Nice Paul, missed out on following this since I'm not in Leeds, be good to pop up at some point and get you to map the new addition to the house hold. I'll pop you a call/text/pm over the coming weeks after NY.
