Had a exhaust fitted by Prospeed friday. Was a stealth cat back with a decat and small middle box to make it pop and sound nice and raspy. They told me it would take around 2 weeks for the system to start making the sound i want due to it being decated means it will take longer to coke up the system. Iv covered around 600 miles in it already and still no change in sound still quiet lil rasp till bout 5k then after that sounds like a screamer pipe on a turbod car and still no popping at all. Anyone have any ideas or do i just wait another week.

None of the exhausts I've had have ever changed the sound they make after a certain amount of time.

I don't get it though do you want it to be quieter or louder?

want it be louder as it basically sounds like a standard system but with a lil rasp then nothing after 5k, i rang them told them he said let the exhaust bed in will take 2 weeks

Give it two weeks then and call them back. I'm sure they will help you out I've heard nothing but good comments about Prospeed.

Doubt it will get any louder, maybe the tone of the exhaust will change, but not how loud it is.
What did you ask for? usually he offers standard, mid-sport and full sport, what did you go for?

If your not happy just ring Charlie and ask him to change it.

yea the exhaust is really good and they way it was made is good did have go bakc up next day due to it hitting the rear spring and they missed a weld on the middle box so it was blowing. so yea all i can i reckon just dosnt seem to be throtty just rasp rasp rasp lol

he said what do u want it to sound like said throtty, popping nice rasp he said ok blah blah blah then fitted that and its just quiet rasp after rasp then silent

No standard engine RS mk2 Clio pops, ever, the fuelling is too tight on them

When i had my yozzasport exhaust system on my old old clio cup it seemed to pop abit like when u let of the throttle and stuff. hmm maybe was just a backfire i think it will be going back up there soon to get a different backbox to make it louder the 1 on there is so big it just misses the rear spring and just misses the rear bumper.

Yeah, non pop like say a 106 GTI, shame really. You could get the jms overun RS tuner map though

haha yea there is that defo needs be louder though want it loads more throttier.

Not (as mentioned) as good as a gti/vts. Thats proper pop/crackle with a pugsport system!

yea dame right what i wanted lol but quess not well charlie did say if i aint happy with it i could have a smaller backbox

Got the exhaust booked in again on tuesday. 3rd time going get it sorted lol. still quiet as the standard system just with a lil rasp and its decated so there putting a smaller back box on. fingers crossed be the last time back up there hmmm
