PS3 help (2 PS3s, 2 rooms, not syncing control!)

Bacially the lad who lives below me just set up his PS3.

I put mine on and couldn't get my control to sync as 1, thus not allowing me to start games etc!

Tried another controller with a lead, and that went to 3

Any help?

plug it in with the charge cable and press the ps button.

^^^ this, charge your control in the one you want to play on then press the ps button. and if tt goes to a different player then hold ps down and re-assign the controller
