PS3 Internet dead?

Just a quick one...

Always used my PS3 using ethernet connection.... last 3 weeks its been dead, I know the ethernet cable is fine as I plugged my mates in and it worked first time.

Just wondering, is there anything I can replace inside the PS3 unit to fix this? Or do I need a new PS3?

check on the ps3 are all the metal connectons "straight" where the wire goes into the ps3
