PS3 or XBOX 360??????

Now for racing most would find it hard to argue for the PS3 over Xbox despite being the superior machine in many ways, this will almost certainly change soon(ish(maybe)) when GT5 etc is released. At the mo you have Forza and PGR for the Xbox.
PS3 has no games - XBOX breaks (lots)

There is a 3yr warranty...send it back. The newer ones aren't as bad.

I would have a PS3 but for one thing... lack of games.
Soon as they sort that.. i'll either have both.. or just the PS3..
The 360 is a peice of s**t but when it does work its quite good even for M$. As usual M$ cant do anything without it crashing at least 20 times a day... but hey ho..

Oh and MGS4 coming to 360? Maybe you should tell Mr Kojima that, having read the dialogue from the press conference he held at Leipzig he categorically stated for the 1000th time that "Metal gear will not be hitting the 360 at this junction", if you rely on 12 month old rumours though for your news then that's fine.
But yeah...apart from that 360 is the best thing ever, no doubt!

More racing/rally games on the 360 imo.

Dont buy the PS3 based on GT5.
You'll soon be bored of it after a couple of months, when you get to a point where you are racing for 30 laps in the front all on your own for ages on end just as in GT 1, 2, 3 and 4!
Pessimism aside it will be a supurb game but wont be the be all and end all of gaming.
PS3 = much better build, cheap BD player (you WILL need an HD telly for that!). However, they have had failures, esp with the new 40 GB units, but not as much as xbox
360 = better games at present, and more importantly, much better on line gaming and that part wont change.

If you just want to play games the 360 is possibly the best at the moment, but bearing that in mind the PS3 does have Sony behind it so more & more games will be launched. I bought a 360 about six months ago and am now regretting it, the 360 hasn't broken down or anything and I do believe they have improved the red ring of death situation, but I bought an HD tv at the same time expecting to be able to watch HD movies as well. So then paid the extra £110 or so and bought the bolt on HD player and then went to HMV to buy some HD films, to my horror I discovered a piddly section for HD movies and an entire isle for blu ray films DOH!
