Not really. PS5 is the equivalent of the Series X in terms of performance. The Pro is better still.

I’m guessing PS6 will have GT8 as the release title game. Going to wait until then and see if other wheelbase options become available for PS.

I’ve got no interest in getting the PS5 Pro, still got the original about half a year or so after release. I’ll be keeping this one for sure when the PS6 comes available

Picked up Little Nightmare 3 today, Asda have it for £14 so thought rude not to being a new release.

I'm a big fan of LN 1+2, two of my favourite games ever. Played through the first chapter tonight and it's ok so far, I'd be disappointed at RRP though as I think they're are only 4. It does feel like it's missing something that the other games had, doesn't keep you quite as on edge, but it is a new studio developing it iirc.

Worth a punt at the price though if you liked the previous ones!

WRC and Stray are decent free games this month! I played through Stray when it came out as it was on extra, I'll play through again I think, enjoyed it.

I downloaded a fair few free games from PS + never really played a nearly all of them. Worth having them. I still got the Essential plan. Stray when it came out had a lot of good reviews on it, looked canny when I say gameplay on it, but it’s not for me.

I’m really into Death Stranding 2 at the minute. Amazing game and I’m nearly there to get the Platinum, it’s very impressive how it’s done. Definitely a game of the year contender. Finished the story last week but still got lots of deliveries to do. Should get platinum in the next week or so

I think you recommended ghost of tsushima to me quite a while ago, got a bit hyped for the new one so started the tsushima last night which I think I for on a PS+ month a long time ago. Only about 45 mins in but really enjoyed it so far, looking forward to playing it some more this week.

I’ve seen someone on my friends list play Ghost Of Tsushima. Once you get the jist of all the buttons and get into it the moves you can do is pretty good and story is good too. What got me was the bamboo where you got to cut i. There’s a setting where you can change where there’s no time limit to do it. I had to write the moves down before pressing the buttons. I’ll be getting the new Ghost game for sure be in the new year now

Been playing Death Stranding 2 past few months . Had over 300 hours and finally got the Platinum Trophy and very pleased I got it. Amazing game and been tough and very repetitive handing in a lot of cargo deliveries. Got 120 videos on the game but that was till the end of the story but way more hours to get the Platinum Trophy. Didn’t record much of that but. Can breath now, I’ll be doing another play through at some point but will jump on now and again as be playing Battlefield 6 soon

Just picked up a PS Portal today.

My interest was peaked with the new update that lets you stream any of your game catalogue from the cloud rather than the console, although you still need premium ps+ to do it.

Someone local was selling a basically new one on facebook for £120 so thought why not, it's a nice little device. I played a bit of Ghosts of Tsushima on it and that played well, streaming from my PS5 over my local network. Also tried the cloud streaming, gave WRC a go, that was a little bit laggy, not sure if it was my internet or the cloud side. It wasn't unplayable but it was noticeable, maybe I should try dropping the resolution as I've been keeping it in FHD.

Quite impressed so far, works better than the PS or Xbox app for steaming to a phone, I'm interested to try streaming from my PS5 over the internet too. I'm guessing because of my poor upload it won't be a great experience. I can however see me using this when away from home with work, or when abroad, more than I do the Switch (aka dust collector) just because the games appeal more.

One takes discs one doesn’t etc. won’t need a Pro, any ideas on which version offers the best value for £££?

Even though the disk drive is more money, it's cheaper to buy disc games than from the PlayStation store. So in the long run it's probably better VFM.

I would get a disc one, it works out a lot cheaper, especially if you plan to buy new releases, complete them and sell them. But if you don't then it's easy to add a disc drive later (assuming you buy the slim version, they don't make the old fat one any more).

Some cracking deals at the moment, I'd recommend the Ghosts of Yotei edition which is on sale. It includes the game, hence the higher price that the other versions, but mainly because it looks mint.

PS Plus subscribers get 5% further discount if you are buying direct from PS, might be worth getting that if you plan to anyway.

Whilst this is generally true, since I bought the disc version I've bought a total of 2 games on disc. I just can't be bothered with them anymore, and if you commit to only buying games during sales, often the PS Store can actually be cheaper anyway (especially if buying credit from Shop2 etc.)
