dont transfer as much heat
the PTFE is designed to stop the heat transfer between the cylinder head and the inlet manifold, hence reducing the intake temps and giving better throttle responce.
That was quoted from Mark at Jam sport that he sent me via PM- Thought i would take all the credit thoughNot sure about throttle response :S
But the rest is spot on
the PTFE is designed to stop the heat transfer between the cylinder head and the inlet manifold, hence reducing the intake temps and giving better throttle responce.
Thats well expensive - I purchased my PTFE Gaskets with my matched inlets from JAM-sport for an extra £30 :S
had them on my old clio valver! i would recomend them to anyone!!
As above can someone explain what they are and why they are better than standard gaskets. Thanks
