Pulley Bearings On A Valver

Looking at a valver and the owner has said that the pulley bearings have started to make a noise. What are these and what hapens if they go?

Think he means the cambelt tensioner and idler pulleys... get noisy with age!

Tbh if they are that noisy just replace them both aswell as the timing belt for a piece of mind..

You would know if the bearings had siezed as it would destroy the cambelt, best thing to do is get it to a garage and get it checked out as it may be something else causing the noise... hard to pinpoint without seeing the car
