Has anyone pulled appart the centre dash on a MKII?
I need to pull the top section on the centre dash off, the bit that houses the display and the centre storage compartment, is this a seperate section to the rest of the centre dash?
Its an easy ten minute job to take the whole of the top dash off, its not seperate from the centre bit. unfortunately membership is frozen at the moment but theres a very good guide in the members area.
2) There are plenty of topics about pulling the entire dash off to get to the tweaters/cure rattles but not to just pull that centre section off
3) yeah membership is frozen, has anybody got a copy they can send to me?
Reason i am asking is i am currently in the process of developing a centre dash pod cluster like this one http://www.defi-shop.com/product/op/op_hood.htmlhttp://www.defi-shop.com/product/op/op_hood.html and dont want to take the whole dash off to get a mould ready, it will be totally removeable and wont require drilling into the dash to mount it but just a small hole to feed thw wires which can be covered by the rubber mould in there anyway
What does everyone think? should i go 3 x 52 m gauges or 2 x 60mm, does everyone think there is a market for a product like this?
dont think there is room for a screen, it would sit too high, plus im not into sat nav, too expensive, and a $10 street directory can do the same thing
