What are people's thoughts?

Ive got a nail in a fairly new ad08. I was thinking of binning it and buying new but a mate said a repair would be fine.

Id replace it then sell it on ebay after it was repaired and advertise the fact it has been repaired.

I wouldn't run it on track due to the extra loads and temperatures, the repair also induces a weak point. Some people would run it and that allows you to get some money back by selling it on.

Might be worth keeping it and putting it on a spare wheel too.

Just run it, if repaired correctly it should still meet the original specs of the tyre.

Think I'd agree with Sam. Maybe use on the back at a push but it would always be a worry to me.
