Pure Motorsport in Padstow ?

Give him a call. IIRC 'they' are one man band... The guy comes highly recommended from anyone I've ever spoken to :)

Support the small specialists if you can :D Picking up the phone is always better if you are in a rush.

Bad business? I'd imagine your message could get lost in the flood of shite they receive quite easily.

If they are a one man band I'd doubt they would get any time during working hours to have a sit down and a cuppa and read through said shite filled emails for the odd one or two that could result in a sale. That would be bad business.

I rang nick about doing my engine conversion on my clio as he had come highly recomended but he asked me to take it somewhere else to get it looked at before he could offer any advice...

Strange bloke if you ask me.

He obviously does what he does, and doesn't want or need to do any more, seems to me a sensible approach, not like some that have been on here and then gone.

email is the new letter. Use it for non urgent enquiries. I answer the phone over looking at emails.
As much as that is true, customers don't see it that way - which is why I spend about 6-7 hours a day answering emails. It's s**t, but necessary...

What i don't understand, is if you have an email option n your website, why aren't you answering?

Even if you just do a standard response....

''Hi, this is Puremotorsport, if your enquiry is urgent please call us on 123456789 as we are very busy at this moment in time''.

Just something to let the customer know you've aknowledged them.

Clever people like yourself who can actually type, will then pick up the phone - but most 'tards will email back the next day going 'y avnt u replid yet m8?!?!?!'

Maybe a newbie on here myself, but just wanted to add my experience...
I was in Padstow in the summer and Nick very kindly fixed a part on my old campervan when I just strolled in off the street. I found him to be very helpful and friendly. I agree it'd be nice to get a reply within 3 days, but don't write him off that easily...he is running a general garage business there as well as the Clio parts so is probably very busy?!
Anyhoo...hello all!

I live up the road from the new premises. I emailed him a while back and got no reply, I used his old petrol station and had no problems lol. Thing is down here in good old cornwall most things are done if and when they feel like it!

just to be clear, not slating them or anything.
actually still am interested in some of their stuff.

Mailed Ktec with a similar question, got a reply within two days, all subsequent mails the answers were immediate. makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and cared for..;)

Give them a call, they nearly always pick up the phone 1st time and have always been realy helpful with me, even sent stuff out same day and in one instance free.

I rang him today, said he would ring me back as he was busy.
Ten mins later he did, placed my order, and it's coming tomorrow, easy.

As I said,I rang Paul yesterday and my part turned up at lunchtime today.

You cannot ask for better than that.

Its amazing that people seem scared to pick up the phone these days, 9 times out of 10 its the easiest and quickest way of sorting stuff out.

its because the yoof of today dont understand 'speaking' to a human being, most are probably outraged that you cant message many companies on facebook to order things lol

email then speak and maybe another email, or speak then email to sure up the chat, best way imho

God I hate people who email and then winge when they don't get a reply straight away

I've emailed RS Tuning today and will be emailing K-Tec in a bit - but the reason I'm emailing is my enquiries aren't urgent and they're busy companies so I like the fact that they can reply to emails in their own time

If it is urgent just pick the phone up and ring.. The lads at Pure Motorsport are brilliant - but obviously very busy

Hello all,
Thanks for the feedback both good and bad! We are indeed a small family run business and at the moment are extremely busy (diary full until 21st Nov!)
Bozo, we did respond to your e-mail and it was indeed a bit slow, in our defence we have to price postage with FedEx and they can be a bit slow in responding to overseas quotes as well. Last week I was away for three days on a Bosch diagnostic training course to keep up with modern diesel developments and your mail was replied to by my father in my absence.
My Father now helps out in the office in the mornings which is helping to keep on top of things a bit more.
We receive loads of e-mails with parts enquiries and reply to EVERY one even though most foreign enquiries end in no sale.
Rampant - what is your e-mail as I don't ever remember seeing one from you although I did offer to do a cambelt for you on this forum.

Excuses over - if you want a quick response please phone - it is far quicker to talk than type!

Daniel is strange anyway, don't worry about it.

I ordered my top mounts off them, great service and product, would have no problem dealing with them again.

From experience its so much easier to just ring up the companys you want to buy bits from. That way you can ask them any random questions you may have about the product they offer.

I have the Pure Motorsport rear beam bearing kit + rear camber shims and i rang up to place my order. It arrived the following day and i fitted it the next! Excellent company, excellent products and excellent value for money!

I used them to do my cambelt etc during the summer and Nick and his dad were nice guys.... and have a beautiful location in PadStein.. and even does his training at the best college in the country ;-)
