put a std airbox on my 16v tonite

.......and OMG it feel so much faster!!! just pulls better from much lower down in the rev range

the car feels smoother and it also a lot quieter.

doesnt sound as gud as the piperx tho but i can forgive that for the performance hike :D
 


yeah, i wanna do the same to mine mate but am sooo addicted the the roar of the pipercross that i havent got round to it!!
 


Weird...I did the same yesterday and shoved a K&N replacement filter in it aswell. I can tell the difference alot lower in the revs but like you say it sounds all sensible now! Not sure if Ill stick with it.......well see.

i noticed that you gain an increase lower down in the revs but its definately better at high revs with the ind kit

ind kit better in cold wether too so im gonna stick with mine cos when ur givin it some when are u low down in the rev range

but last nite in his car it felt much better, only arod the 120mph did it start to feel slower as if it wasnt picking up as quick

get a direct cold air feed from next to your fog light into it as teh standard one points upwards into the front of teh arch! works a treat, and especially at high speeds!

im planning to get a closed air induction kit when my bank balance is a bit healthier like, just thought id try the airbox :p
