put battery terminals on wrong way

my mate Put the battery terminals on wrong way now i got no headlights or fullbeam ..blew no fuses nd relays under the bonnet seem to be fine as we've had the lights working since but didnt last for long any help would be great thanks

so they worked after you put the battery on right but not for long?

i'd check every fuse you can as you could of taken a few out putting the battery on wrong

checked all fuses under the bonnett and inside drivers door and none have blown ...any1 know if the full beam and dipped beam run off the same relay orrr ? also any1 know where these relay/s are ?

just try taking out the headlight fuse's anyway and swaping them with new ones.
maybe also check the bulbs?

rite then ive narrowed the problem down to the fuse box underneath the glove box ..if i put the relay for the headlights in the headlight come with no tail lights (which is normal) ..however if i put the relay in for the sidelights whilst the headlight relay is still pluged in the sidelights and tail lights will come on (which is also normal) but wont allow the headlights to come on unless i take the sidelight relay out any ideas please ?

Any chance of a wiring diagram? lol!

So at the moment we can assume both relays seem to be working, but not when they are both connected. Is their any evident damage to any other components / tracks / connectors in that area?

That's the UCH, i take it thats its a phase 2 172? Will proobably be frazzled. Expensive mistake. Need to be coded ( a new one ) by renault or someone with clip or very good diagnostic tools.

no mate i aint got a wiring diagram nd yes both relay r working jst not when plugged in together :s also had look for any other damage around the area but cant see anything ..yes its a phase 2 172 whats is this uch nd what is its purpose nd wheres is it on the car mate any way of testing it ? thanks for the help guys
