Putting In Bucket Seats

Rite im gonna buy a set of seats for the front when i take out the old ones will the airbag lights always stay on?? How Can I Pass This??

does it? hmmm, get an aftermarket steering wheel then... de-airbag the whole car, all they do is break your nose anyway :S

^^^ Make sure u tell the insurance company !!!

Not a good idea just to rip them out, if u have an accidetn and insurance finds ur airbags removed without delcaration u WILL be screwed!!

Stick a correct sized resister in the wiring for the airbags and the light will not come on.

I think the stearing wheel is 4.6 ohms and the side is any value between 1.8 and 6.5 (or 4.5) ohms.

Ill do a check though.

I just connected the tretensioners back up and cable tied them under the seats for the MOT

ok where abouts do u put the resistor then??

connect the resister between the two wires that cinnect to the pre tensioner, gives the ecu the impression thepre tensions are connected

u know that the side airbags are actually in the seats? the other 2 should still work though.

Ok you have a problem with your car since you set the airbags off youll have to make a choice.

1) Replace the airbag computer then either replace the airbags set off or stick resisters in the setup.

2) Remove the bulb/ wire from the dashboard (Its track ten on the grey connector)

Theres no other way of getting rid of the light. The airbag computer is a waste of time now to get the other airbags to work you need to replace the unit get Renault to set it up and either stick a new airbag in or resister up the wiring.
