Putting new model side strips on an older model car ?

So as according to the topic. I have a clio II 1.2 1998 model and i wanna change the side strips from the old roundy looking ones to the ones from the newer models, with the bullets. Question is, does anyone know if the holes line up correctl to fit the strips, or would it call for some drilling (God i hope not) ?

i think it was if you have square holes behind your original bump strips they should fit straight on. could be wrong..

Are you talking about ones from a MK3? Not gonna happen if so. You would need to smooth over the indentation from the originals, then after the doors and wings have been painted, bond on the MK3 ones.

If you mean the MK2 PH2 sidestrips, then it should be a straight swap.

As said above the MK2 PH2 strips should pop straight on

naaah not talking bout the MK3, talkin bout the MK2 PH2. Well was enjoying the post till couzens crashed it (although i do thank you for informing me). so any way round it or am i stuck with the old strips for life? till sale do us part? cheers for the help

MK2PH2 side strips fitted my 'W' reg perfectly.

lol im thinking the same tbh. just pop your current strips off mate and check. probably your best bet!

your defiantly not stuck with the old ones dude, just do what i done or if you dont have that equipment, use tiger seal to bond them on? but you prob wont get them off again lol, and hideyho, i got told it was only the late ph2 that would fit stright on, i just got told it was X, but i know they dont fit on S or R stright on.

aaaight aaaight cheers mate, aint got that tool however i can make a plan in the case of an emergency. tiger seal should do it the lol. Thanks for the help, much appreciated
