Putting plates on retention

How long does it normaly take? Im going to go into my local DVLA office to get it done. Ive heard it can take 4 weeks! anyone done this?

they recommend it takes 4 weeks. ive done it twice now and both times its been about 2weeks or so before the paperwork comes back.

Mine came back in about a week but it depends. I have always received DVLA documents quickly though.
