[Q] looking for a specific wire - central locking related.

Hi guys.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows if there's a wire that goes live or vice versa when the doors are locked/unlocked?

I'm not looking to tap into it to control it, I want to use it more of a sense wire.

If you need a better explanation I'll try and word it differently but if your leccy savvy then you'll know what I mean... I hope haha.

2 wires to the door mech - 1 reads 12v when unlocked (cant remember which).

White/brown and green/brown I believe!

Not sure if other is ground or signal cable.

Any idea where the wires go to inside the car. I'd rather splice inside the car rather than running wires back through the door.

Not sure! Follow them through the grommet in the door into the dash

Should be able to get under the dash pretty easily to find them tbh!
