Hello once again, I'm here everyday now with another question it seems!
I had a look under my 182 I just bought and it has a nice aftermarket exhaust (apart from the fact that it's loud as hell). It has been decatted (not an issue in South Africa for MOT), and the exhaust is original until where the cat would be, with new pipe welded on thereafter. Upon closer inspection, only the pre-cat lambda is in place, the lambda that would usually go after the cat has just been shoved between the body and brake lines! There's no bung welded on the new exhaust for the 2nd lambda to screw in.
I wonder what sort of problems this would cause, I have no doubt the ECU will be extremely confused unless there's been some remap that the previous owner never told me about. The post-cat lambda is literally reading open air (still connected to the plug) and everything. I haven't test driven the car much as I'm in the process of changing the clutch. I used an OBD2 reader and it gave an error relating to the lambda sensor.
