Question about 182FF Xenons

  Looking for 182
Hi all,

I am a new Clio owner so please forgive my naivety on this subject; I'm just trying to make sure everything is as it should be :)

Ok, so my lights look like this:

Wrongly or rightly I assumed that the whole lot would be like the Xenons, a nice bright white(ish) light. Is it right that the dipped and full beam area are the usual yellowy colour you get on non Xenon cars? Or do I need to get 'Xenon bulbs' for them?

Don't laugh if I have said something stupid please :)

Dipped beam is the xenons, sidelight and high beam are still "normal" aswell as the fog lights. I got some "xenon" sidelight bulbs for mine which look a lot better.

Yeah that's all normal, only the dipped beam is xenon. Not worth replacing the rest as no one ever sees the full beam apart from you and fog lights are useless anyway. Some white LED sidelights will get rid of the yellow from there, or just take them out all together.

yeah thats normal u just need some better sidelights as the xenons make them look really dull. i use the 1s from halfords as they match really well. theres a few people who just remove the sidelights

If I take them out will they fail an MOT?

Also, if they are not there, does selecting dipped and full beam make no difference?

Yeah, just pop them back in for your MOT.

Full beam still functions, it's a different bulb in the same housing. You're not removing that.

pikey style FTW!

I took mine out of my 172, and out of my R32 as well! The xenons look 1000 times better without a piss yellow tint ruining them! Plus sidelights are about as useful as a c**k flavoured lollipop!

You have an adjuster to the right of the steering wheel by your knee.

You can also adjust each one manually and individually with an allen key on the actual units.

I fitted some ebay sidelights. I might remove them though tbh.
