Question about my 36k service

I had my car's 36k service done a month or so back and me being slack, didn't really know that a few certain things should have been done, after reading :

I believe my AUX belt should have been changed ? I'm not sure which this ties up to on their job sheet, but there is a 0 next to Timing Belt, and Accessory Belt. I presume one of these is the AUX belt ?? help lol

Anyway, I got it done by Renault, surely they should have done it, or is it not a 100% job that it gets done at 36k ?

Renault garages can forget to remember to do this as some cars may have had there belt break at mayabe 10k so the belt wouldn't need to be done till 46k if you catch my drift.

Your bill should explain it though a normal service is about £150~ 200 but it they charged over £250 then either its one expensive place or they've done the belt it should be writted on the reciept or jts check under youer car on the drivers side the belt is drives the pumps etc see if it looks new.

I've spoken to the garage again, as booking an MOT. It wasn't done, and he said they just change it with the cambelt, and it's not done as part of the standard 36k service ? :dapprove:

There wrong the old service file said it had to be checked at 36k and changed with the cambelt. However new rules due to the amount which failed and Renault had to pay for means that it should be changed ever 36k.

Cheers edde, after forcing the guy into looking again, he said oh s**t that should have been done as part of your service.

So they are gonna charge me for the Aux Belt, and fit for free (when its arrived), so no need to take any lube down for once lol

How much will the Aux belt be you reckon ?

thats gd as it NOT part of the service its an add on to be done with the 36k service and its a 2.1hr job as well.

Depends on a Cup its easy on a car with air con its more difficiult then it depends hwo you do it the Renault manuals says remove the bumper and headlight but it can be done without doing this quicker.

Renault are f**ked

Same with the 24k service...it states to change coolant and Brake fluid in the handbook but when I went in for a quote for this service those were extras I had to ask for!
