Question for all MK1 172 owners

Hi All, just curious if anyone else has experienced this problem on there 172s??

One of my "Auxillary Belt Tensioner Bearings" has failed causing damage to some of the tensioner pulleys like the alternator and air-con unit etc..

If you have experienced this then please post a message, thanx

no i have had no problems yet had to have a new water pump thats all they changed all the belts for me then .

Ive heard of some other ppl having problems with belt tensioners

My car is about to go back into the garage for the third time! for this problem. The bearing hasnt actually ever failed but each time they fix it the noise comes back even worse about 300-400 miles later. Getting very pissed of now.
