Question for Renault folk like CB1A

Im busy looking at the user manual for my mk1 172 and it has vehicle codes for all the various Clios

Now for the 172 the code is CB0M, but there is also CB1C. I know CB0M is the VIN code for 172, but what is this CB1C?

My book has a whole list of codes under the 172 heading (6)..CB1C being one of them. I think its a different code for each country spec. Mines got the uk spec code CB1N.

BTW my hubby is in Jburg at the mo. He saw a silver 172 today, Ill tell him to look out for you, do you have a cliosport sticker??

cbom / cb1n / cb1c - there all oval plate codes for 172 clio

ie - cbom = 3dr old shape 172 clio -------- cb1n = ph2 new 172 clio. Theres so much more you can find out about your car on the oval plate sticker situated on the o/s/f door b post.

CB1A = V6 CLIO - Hence my user name yeh

Yep I do have Cliosport stickers on my car Viv. Its the Blue one (mk1)

OK CB1A, Ive got all the info from the oval plate. How do I go about decoding it?
