questions for the black gold kings...

Hi there,

as everyone knows, pain in the bum cleaning black gold, but the results are fantastic

what i want is just some basic detailing on keeping my clean nice and clean, sort of in this format... (??????? = link to buy product)

Washing my car (what mit, and what product)
drying and then polishing it (what mit and what product)
alloys, cleaning them, (what brush and what product)
sealing everything in for a shinny finish (what mit / pad / and what product)

Can someone do a list of links to products in that ordeR? I have had a look round loads of detailing sites, but theres that much stuff i have no idea what to buy.
any links to some machine polishers as well, as the results they give are what i am after

washing i use, Megs gold shampoo, 2 bucket with a sonus mitt

Drying , i have a few sonus Du wonder drying Towels ( really good)

alloys clean then dry i use EGP or poor boys wheel sealent.

Polish - Autoglm SRP and then EGP then a good wax 50/50 or a Swisswax onyx is great on black

( pads, just a megs or any small round pad and i use sonus buffing towels ( yellow with black piping).

Black gold is a nightmare by hand if you have any real defects or swirl marks to deal with you will need a more abbrassive product to use first before the Autoglym Super Resin.

On my own Black Gold car summer process was:

Wash
Machine Polished with the Porter Cable and Menzerna Polishes
Zymol HD Cleanse
Waxed With Swissvax Best of Show and Zymol Destiny.

Winter Process will be

Wash
Klasse All In One Paint Cleaner
Jeffs Acyrlic Jett Sealant

Lmabswool Eurow Mitt for washing, air dried after a final rinse using an Aqugleam filter, Wheels washed with car soap only, sealed with Autoglym Super Resin and Extra Gloss and topped with Poorboys or Swissvax wheel sealants.

meguares is the best i found as above tech wax is brill@£15 u can pick it all up at halfords now,as for wheels i found car plan acid free foam 1 of the best
