Quick 172 question

Is a 53 plate 172 mk2 likely to have cruise control like the 182?

53 plate was when it came as standard but some cars do and some don't due to when they were registered.

Well as far as I believe, late registered 172s had cruise and ESP.

It's just there's two 53 plate silver 172's I'm considering.

Neither ad mentions cruise or date of registration except 53 plate.

No cruise control or ESP in my 172, it's the one thing I'll miss from the C2 VTR

When I ordered my 172 (Aug 2003), the spec was 6 CD changer. When the car arrived (Nov 2003) it had cruise control but no CD changer.

Cruise was added in lieu of the CD changer on all cars built after September 2003.

Cool so it's more likely to have 6 cd rather than cruise?

If I had to choose I'd rather that.

Wouldn't use cruise anyway.

Out of interest, what would I be looking for to check?

Is it on the stalk control or something?

the buttons for cruise are on the sterring wheel +/-

Its more likely to have the cruise than not. I reckon.
