Just installing my stalk adapter for the alpine unit. Where i've connected the wiring adapter (3) into the car, it connects to the wire (1) Does anything connect to (2) - the old socket on the back of the clock? When i turn the stereo on, nothing appears on the screen bar the time and outside temp.

Just read through some threads and the above looks normal, no display will work. Time to put the dash back on!
