Quick clean and new speakers

Recently got a new parcel shelf through from tony off here (t12eed) fitted with some cerwin vega 6x9s. (Big thanks to Tony, extremely quick to deliver and very well packaged) So today i gave the car a clean inside and out and put them in.

I know 6x9's on the shelf arent for most on here, buts its only a 1.2 so speed isnt too important tbh. The sound quality has improved massively, and they can be disconnected in a heart beat, combined wiith the sub (not turned up bad boy style) the sound sytem is pretty much where i want it now.

Well i've done the fronts already, so what is it you want doing??? Mk2 Ph1 base models only came with front speakers, so i've had to upgrade the fronts, run wire and fit rears, run more wire and fit 6x9s, then run more wire to fit sub. I'm quite good with clio wiring now.. lol!

I'm more than willing to help out with anything (in return for a passenger ride)

Yeah i'll be at the tonbridge meet mate, havent put myself as attending yet, but will do.

I've been thinking of dual optics, but atm with no job i'm quite skint, so depends if the price is right....

I've also been looking at getting a certain sport interior, but who knows, which is the better upgrade...?

FLOL - no i was doing forward rolls. i now have o do one every where i go. Don't ask. x

Ah I just want some decent components as the fronts sound poop. Well they sound ok as I've asked my Alpine HU to send the high stuff their way, and kindly send the low stuff to the sub in the boot.

The problem is that there is no real mid-range. I'm a perfectionist and also lazy hence in the last year (and 14k miles, 97k rolled over today ) I've not been bothered enough to change them !

The sport interior is not worth the bother really. The seats aren't amazing ! It's still like sitting on a bar stool in a rollerskate.

Next upgrade is buckets for me .. and a remap/cams .. and some decent brakes. Better get the overtime on the go haha !

RE the lights: I'm sure we can work out a payment plan. Please send me all your personal data and credit card/bank account information and I'll get my people to call your people....

What's the deal with this? I've had no issues with it so far and don't really know anything about the arguement against it?

Something along the lines of the sub pushing the 6x9s into moving further than the speaker is supposed to as they are sharing the same 'box' of air in the boot, IYSWIM. Maybe someone else can throw a more technical reason for this.

I run fader to the front about 70% and sub in the boot. The rears on the sports sound crappy anyway..!

Speakers really sound spot on mate, really good middle/bass which is perfect considering the wee clio speakers are always quite "high" sounding.

Car sounds better than it ever has before with a nice full sound and great volume if I want it.
