I'm trying to perfect my 'quick wash' technique as I tend to start, then it takes me hours on end as Im a perfectionist lol.
I detailed it not long ago so I'm just trying to keep ontop of it without inflicting damage. It's been clayed, machine polished, and it's wearing a few coats of PB blackhole and AG hd wax.
So in theory a quick wash could be:
Rinse with pressure washer,
wash with a decent shampoo & 2 bucket method,
dry with a good drying towel,
run around with a good QD.
Done?
Z8 adds a little protection and looks fantastic. I found it a bit fussy at first but I've got the technique down now with two Poorboys short pile MFs.
You know my thoughts on Werkstat sealants as a whole. Just didn't get on with it. Interestingly John or Clark at PB also had initial issues but rectified it.
Of course when I asked on DW I was hushed
I've got z6 and I don't rate it. It is very easy to use and a little goes a long way but in my experience it does nothing for water behaviour (did half a bonnet just before it started raining and they both looked exactly the same) and I couldn't tell any difference with the looks. This was after a wash and dry and I use AF tough coat sealant. I'm looking for another QD so quite interested in this thread.
It's not a product for water behaviour mate. It has no protection.
Well that explains that then! haha. Though as hard as I looked I could see no difference in gloss despite me really wanting to haha. What product would you suggest to me to as a after wash top up kinda thing that enhances water behaviour?
