Quick Exhaust Question

I am considering upgrading my exhuast to the K-Tec Stealth, if I get the cat back system will this cure my 4k rattle or is that another part of the system that requires replacement?

IIRC the rattle is caused by crappy welding on the back box? Sure someone can be more specific though....

Isn't it the middle section that causes the prob though?

When I had a K-tec stealth fitted it cured the 4k rattle. Admittably the back box had fallen off on the way to K-tec so it was'nt like I could hear it anymore!

(I also had a sports cat fitted at the same time, so the problem 'could' have been there too)

I just asked K-tec to have a look, particularly at the heat shield as I'd heard that could be the source of the rattle.

Did you have the new Stealth fitted or the older one? Are they much noiser than the standard on the motorway?

The old one. Motorway was OK as long as I feathered the throttle slightly.

Normal driving around town (around 3k) it was too boomy for my taste. Sounded f**king mean on full throttle though :evil:
