Quick HD question.....

If I download a HD clip from the net, hook my PC up to my HD tele via VGA and play the clip in media player for example, is this displayed on my tele as HD ? ?

depends on what resolution your pc is set too and also depends if your tv will accept a hd resolution over vga or dvi

put in simplistic terms yes in reality maybe

I set the PC to the resolution that work on my TV, I think it was about 1024, and I have the Tosh 32wlt66. Pardon my laymans approach to HD! :)

Some graphics cards (6 and 7 seires NVIDIA GPU's included) output HD resolutions via the Svideo connection using a component adapter you get bundled with it. However, i would hazard a guess that if you use your Tosh as your main monitor, using a VGA cable, and setting the resolution to that near to your native resolution on your TV, that any HD content will be displayed as such. Same principle as the eggbox really

not really as iirc the tosh will only accept 1024x768 by vga maybe with alot of powerstrip playing you may get it higher i dont know

if your pc has a dvi output you would be better off with a dvi to hdmi cable
