Quick painting question..

you can use that stuff if you want before you primer them mate. but the accual finish on the standard bullets is not plastic. they are made from plastic but then coated with some sort of metal type finish.
and if your bullets have no scratches then you could just scotch them up with some grey scotch bright to key the surface.

I didn't use that when I did mine, I just used halfords plastic primer, as long as you have degreased the surface properly, it should be fine mate. Mine has held up to stood up to my Karcher K7.85 with no chipping!

I would recommend getting it painted professionally, I did mine at home with rattle cans, but where I usually use some compound and polish to remove the orange peel and put a glossy shine on it, I couldn't do it with the grille as it's too complicated.
A decent sprayer with a compressor and a jazzy paint gun will get such a good finish it wont need compounding or polishing.

If you are going to do it yourself, I would mask up the area that sits under the bonnet like I did, gives a much better result.
