Quick photoshoot.

It looks like the Clio is here to stay for another year, so there have been a few changes made over the course of the last few weeks - including the addition of the 172 alloys and a ph2 rear bumper.

I didn't have much time, but needed something for the project 52 that quite a few people are taking part in over in the photography section of the forum; so I jumped out and grabbed a few shots.

Cheers,
Ian :)

Car's looking nice and clean Ian, it's a right pain in the arse to keep black cars clean isn't it?

Do you have any other plans for it? I'd personally get the wheels powder coated white but I've always been a fan of black cars with white wheels.

Cheers Jon. It's not actually been cleaned for about a month now and it's even longer since it's had a polish! Camera does a good job of hiding it though, lol.

Back last June I was seriously considering getting the 172s powder coated white, but I've had a change of heart. I'm not really one to stand out on the roads so I'm trying to keep it subtle. Main plans now are to get the paint resprayed where needed and generally to bring it back up to standard. Hopefully get it PC'd sometime over summer too. Will try and get my set of Sportlines on for FCS, will have to see about though.

Keeping it tidy there Ian.

Snaps are good too.

Cheers Mark. :) Probably a touch too heavy on the editing, but I was just trying to make the black look black - lovely English weather wasn't helping.

Thanks Callum. I don't know what it is but as said above I've gone totally off fancy colours, think I just prefer the factory look now. I'm thinking about colour coding (waiting to hear back from a guy with cc'd ph2 strips), but I'm not keen on the look of the front bumper when it's cc'd so that's putting me off. Plus I'm poor lol. Hopefully lowered just in time for FCS.

im not too keen on the front bumper either tbh but i suppose its either that or front end conversion lol and yea lowered definately, and if u want rid of them alloys mate give me a pm as i want them to do them white :D

Alloys are here to stay I'm afraid! Was going to get a set of f1's, but it would need lowering a lot to pull them off. Really like the 172 alloys anyway so it's all good. :)

Looks grand Ian, nice shots mate.

Know how you feel about the 52 as well!

Cheers Greg, it's taking over my Wednesdays lol.

Thanks Chris, any plans for a NW meet on the horizon? Coming to the end of uni now so should have a bit more free time in a couple of weeks.

As a note: If anyone local-ish wants a few photos of their car I'll happily try and sort something, would like to get some practice.

Is it lowered already Ian? Mine being a 1.2 sits so high :( i have the same wheels and it looks rather tractor-esque!!!

P.s was gonna try set up a sportline group buy soon, would you be interested?

No it's not, but I think I read somewhere that the 'sport' models came out of the factory with slightly different springs. Might be making that up, I'm not sure! Probably the fact that they are 10 year-old springs has made it sink a bit lower anyway. :)

I've actually already got a set of Sportlines, picked them up from Makavelli last year; my insurers want to charge me a fortune to put them on though. FCS is the day before my policy expires, so shouldn't cost too much to add them for a day. I'm sure there will be plenty of people interested in a group buy - the 1.2 springs are different to all other models though I believe, just as a heads up.

Don't i know it, they are like rocking horse poo second hand it seems! Hopefully a few people would be interested in the 1.2 versions!

And yeah i thought it being a sport might make a difference! Damnit!
