If the rear drivers side ABS sensor needs replacing would it bring both the abs and TC lights on?

Also, if i replace the sensor will a snap on ecu reader (the big expensive version) switch the light off or is it a renault job?

Think so, Pretty sure when I broke my front ABS sensor they both came on,

Actually ignore me, was on my 172 which had no traction control :o

mine has both lights on and i had it on a diagnostics and it said rear drivers abs fault so yes but as for putting the light out couldnt tell you! Although im assuming if you disconnect the battery then the ecu will reset and as theres no more error code it should just go off!

sensor is 117.57+ VAT so make sure you knock alot off as it'll cost you a bit to get it fitted hence why mine still hasnt been done!!

Yeah mate both lights will be on as the traction control relies on ur abs sensors. hope that helps :)

i wish was £11 can get them 2nd hand for around 60 quid if your lucky. Might just need a good clean as they tend to get very dirty!

Well i bought the car today, budgeting for the sensor but the guy wouldn't budge much on price since it was already pretty cheap. But then again i'm taking a risk by relying on his word that it is just a sensor when he had it on the computer.

Now a proud owner of a RB 182, well when i pick it up Monday anyway :D

lol, an ABS sensor is never gonna be £11 :)
:p

We thought it was cheap, was going to change both rears for the sake of a tenner but obviously not now.

I managed to get a proper price for them tonight, at about 5:45, only dealer that had parts department open was east london mind :D

Quoted for what?

Paid £3900 for the 182, but it has done 85K miles and i took a risk with the lights being on, apart from that its mint ;) .

For the part, it is going to be about £110 + vat if thats what you meant by quoted.

Doh, cruise isnt working.

Could this be to do with the abs/traction fault (likely faulty abs sensor). Its going on diagnostics tomorrow but just wondered in advanced.
