quick question on insurance downgrade ?

is it possible to downgrade your insurance policy from fully comp to tpft etc ? for example i payed off my insurance in one sum , so if it was possible to downgrade would i get money back ? yes or no . im with direct line .

Yep, should get a refund of the difference pro rata, minus the amendment fee..

Have you checked the price, because i'm with directline and 3rd party was only about £100 less than fully comp.

Also it is possible to lower the level of cover but you will not be able upgrade back to comp cover until renewal

They might not let you do it if the value of your car is over a certain amount.

most insures insist on fully comp if its over 5k in value
