My friend asked me a question, and I thought... you guys here will know, because I wasnt sure.

Q: Which one below would you use more petrol if you drove 1mile.

30MPH or
80MPH

I thought the answer was 30mph, but Im not really sure.

Are you not getting confused with fuel comsumption and MPG ?

MPG would be more of a challenging question.

56 mph is optimum speed, fuel usage goes up alot after that.

That was what the old 300SL Mer gullwing was each car is different. It was the first and possibly only car even with proper performace manual sold with the car graphing efficiency. The 300SL was a racer of sorts so had a very earodynamic body plus was geared for suck a CLio and most cars are best almost idling in 5th gear.

Wouldn't it be better to walk that 1 mile. As the engine will not have time to warm, up causing more damage.
