Quick question...

  you may know it, clio?
My brother is a DJ and wants to be able to take pictures in clubs but can't seem to get them to come out right....

What settings such as ISO do you need to take in low level lighting?

Or maybe even suggested a camera?

Want pictures to come out like on this site www.enuffsaid.com

high iso to increase shutter speed
small aperture to maximize light coming in and a steady hand oh and get everyone to stop dancing would help lol

  you may know it, clio?
Ha cheers recommend any digital camera? I was thinking a panasonic tz range?

erm slr with damned expensive lens and great high iso noise reduction

or any p&s that has good low light performance

Night Mode? sounds like a gimmick name for High ISO.

You'll want a camera that can take clean high ISO images for ambient club lighting and fire an external flash that can be bounced from the ceiling.

Get yourself on the camera forums/ebay and hunt down some second hand gear.

Canon 350D + 18-55 + 430EX flash could be had for around 300 notes.

Stick it in Manual, Central focus point, Aperture f/5.6, ISO 800, Shutter speed 1/60, flash in second curtain pointing at 45 degrees with an Omni-Bounce and fire away/experiment. You'll probably end up with better pictures than EnuffSaid..

*Variable apply :clown:

p.s. some samples of what your Bro has taken now would help.

u dont need to stick it on high iso!

get a slr with a good ish lens, something like a d40 with a 50mmf1.8 would be great then stick a sb800 or 900 flash on top for more power and stick it in rear curtain or rear sync flash whatever its called, will get you pics like....

it will open the shutter and record the blurred background and the lights as streaks as you move around and before the shutter closes it will flash so you get a still image of the dj.... 99% of club photos are taken like this.

  306 GTi-6
DSLR. 50mm f/1.8, nice flash for off-camera as per post above.

Pick something which goes pretty with regards to ISO, nothing worse than getting home to find all your pics are (unintentionally) blurry.
