Wanted to know if ironx or tardis would strip the colour out of a soft top? and what products are not good to use with soft top
Keep both away from soft tops - absolutely not neccessary. A gentle APC solution sprayed on and agitated with a nail brush or similar should be all you need. A wet vac is also handy as this helps remove the grime and also aids drying
yeah i wasnt goign to use it ont he softtop, it was just encase some over spills or that, you know if snow foam if ok with softtops? i have auto finesse avalanch, also products liek waxs, polishes or selants? what if a bit drops on the soft top? would it a case of f**k or would it be easy to clean off?Keep both away from soft tops - absolutely not neccessary. yeah i am looking into this not my car its a customers but i just thought id ask, as i am going down south this weekend to detail it and havemt done a softtop yet, so just wondered if the products effect itNothing to add to the above, apart from perhaps suggesting looking at protecting it afterwards to minimise the number of times you need to clean it in your ownership...
ok maybe i just got a little defensive, my bad!Not slating you mate simply saying you shouldn't be doing a 'customers' car if you don't know whats what.
When you said customer it immediately made me think they would be paying ££ for a service. Most people wont be satisfied they have got value for money unless it is perfect hence it isn't a good idea to do things your inexperienced on.
